This is the kind of love story that gives me good goosebumps because I know that I’ve discovered a book that is everything I look for in a great read. I know I will read it again in a few years and enjoy it just as much as I did the first time around. I loved the second chance romance with older and much wiser characters and the Valentina family legacy that is so cleverly written I never would have figured it out by myself. I have been hoping this author would go in a new direction with her romances and I’m so happy she did! I read an early copy of this book and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.

Fantastic!!!

P.S. It’s Always Been You was fantastic. I fell in love with Hunter and Presley from the beginning in this wonderful second chance romance. These two were melting the pages, hoping to make a long distance relationship work, and then Hunter had the chance of a lifetime. He made a hard choice that left him with regrets and Presley with a broken heart. Fast forward ten years and things are about to change. These two rediscover themselves following a love story in a mysterious treasure hunting adventure. They soon find out what’s the biggest treasure of all. I fell in love with Hunter and Presley more and more with every exciting turn their story takes. I have one word to sum it up...SWOON! My romance loving heart is full!

I could not put this amazing book down! What’s better than an epic second chance love story? Another epic love story woven seamlessly within it of course! This story is sweet, heartwarming, adventurous, romantic and funny all wrapped up in that perfect delivery that is the writing of a Lauren Blakely. Ten years ago Hunter and Presley were madly in love. But when Hunter gets the opportunity to go on the adventure of a lifetime he chooses that over Presley. Now a decade later these two wonderful older and wiser people are paired together to work on a new adventure/mystery of sorts. Each clue they find and each day that passes brings them closer together. It’s a beautiful journey of rediscovery. But can Presley trust that Hunter will stay this time? Is his love for her more important than anything else? I was absolutely glued to the pages and mesmerized by the trail of the letters and Edward and Greta’s great love story. I felt like I was finding all the clues and letters with Hunter and Presley. This was such an incredibly romantic story, well both of them were. I loved it!

Hunter Armstrong and Presley were young lovers when he decided to leave to pursue a once in a lifetime job offer; and although they parted ways, they never forgot one another. I’ve read everything Lauren Blakely ever published and each one is original with fabulous and often witty dialogue, character growth, deep soul searching, and strong, smart heroes and heroines. It’s Always Been You is another five-star read for me! Hunter is hot and handsome, rugged and fit, smooth and charming. He’s a professional thrill seeker with his own adventure series, but at what cost? He is successful and popular, but very much alone and far from perfect. He eagerly accepts a side job utilizing his background when he learns he’ll be working side-by-side with the one who got away. Our sweet heroine is an older and wiser art curator assigned to catalogue the contents of a home filled with priceless antiques as well as a mystery. Greta and Edward, the deceased owners of the home, left letters for their children to find in various places explaining how they met and their own love story. Hunter and Presley are on a wonderful adventure as they try to piece together the clues left behind while slowly letting down their guard and getting to know one another again. Little did they know how the older couple’s history and advice to their children would personally affect them by making them realize what’s most important in life. This is a fabulous slow-burn, second chance love story with lots of twists and turns as these two can’t deny their insane mutual attraction, curiosity, and how easy and natural it feels to be together. They have such different lifestyles and goals, yet have so much in common. I admire Presley for how she handled the breakup with grace and how she didn’t gush over Hunter like a fan-girl and immediately jumping into bed with him. She is naturally guarded as he hurt her so deeply before and knows she'll suffer the same fate if she gives him her heart again as he will soon be off on another adventure. Every time I read a book by Lauren Blakely I learn something new, and this book was filled with so much history and cool facts. I loved learning more about both of their professions and it’s obvious Blakely does her research because it flows effortlessly. Presley and Hunter were in their element and I loved how in awe and humbled he was in her presence, and how he fought to win back her heart. Swoon! Swoon! Swoon! It’s Always Been You was such a fun read that kept me intrigued and hopeful the entire time. I especially loved the epilogue.

It's Always Been You is a fabulous second-chance romance that not will not only make you fall in love right along with the characters but it'll take you on a trip back in time as the main characters set out to solve a fun mystery. Blakely added just the right amount of suspense to keep me turning pages throughout to find out how the story would pan out. Based in the present and using letters from the past, the story flows beautifully as Presley and Hunter discover an epic love story while rediscovering their own from years past. I loved the characters in this story. Presley is strong, smart and driven. And she's real. When faced with an ex that she can't forget....she does exactly as I'd do! Hunter is the ultimate adventurer. He lives for extreme sports and is always searching for his next thrill. He's a successful television star and author and just happens to be Presley's ex. She's his one greatest regret and a chance to work with her to find hidden "treasure" is something he can't refuse. Their relationship is easy, fun and comfortable. Despite being apart for ten years, these two fall back in step quickly and I loved watching them reconnect and rebuild their relationship. Rounding out the story is a class of colorful characters that are eccentric and loveable. They each play an important role in bringing Presley and Hunter back together again unbeknownst to the couple. Blakely ties the story up perfectly with an ending that readers will adore. 4.5 stars

This was a charming and entertaining second chance romance. I enjoy it when couples who are meant to be are reunited. Hunter and Presley are thrown back together after 10 years apart. They embark on this adventure that has them traveling all across the city. And while on this adventure, they rediscover how much they mean to each other and the love they share. It was sweet watching them reconnect together. Hunter and Presley were a captivating couple. They meshed together perfectly and I loved their banter and interactions. I also immensely enjoyed the second part of this story which was the adventure. Discovering the treasured nuggets was amusing and also lovely. I was captivated throughout the story and I couldn't wait to see how it plays out. Lauren always gives a good story and P.S. It's Always Been You was no different. A heartfelt and fun story.

First... this book should be made into a movie pronto. Let me get that out of the way ASAP! I always love books by Lauren, but this one was a bit different in the best of ways. A second chance love story weaves into a suspenseful, adventurous journey that leaves you guessing! I was enthralled and captivated from the start! If you love mysteries that have meaningful clues and brims with endearment then read this tale. I was flummoxed and surprised by the inner story and completely delighted with the love story. Brava!

I could not put this amazing book down! What’s better than an epic second chance love story? Another epic love story woven seamlessly within it of course! This story is sweet, heartwarming, adventurous, romantic and funny all wrapped up in that perfect delivery that is the writing of a Lauren Blakely. Ten years ago Hunter and Presley were madly in love. But when Hunter gets the opportunity to go on the adventure of a lifetime he chooses that over Presley. Now a decade later these two wonderful older and wiser people are paired together to work on a new adventure/mystery of sorts. Each clue they find and each day that passes brings them closer together. It’s a beautiful journey of rediscovery. But can Presley trust that Hunter will stay this time? Is his love for her more important than anything else? I was absolutely glued to the pages and mesmerized by the trail of the letters and Edward and Greta’s great love story. I felt like I was finding all the clues and letters with Hunter and Presley. This was such an incredibly romantic story, well both of them were. I loved it!

I’ve read everything Lauren Blakely ever published and each one is original with fabulous and often witty dialogue, character growth, deep soul searching, and strong, smart heroes and heroines. It’s Always Been You is another five-star read for me! Hunter is hot and handsome, rugged and fit, smooth and charming. He’s a professional thrill seeker with his own adventure series, but at what cost? He is successful and popular, but very much alone and far from perfect. He eagerly accepts a side job utilizing his background when he learns he’ll be working side-by-side with the one who got away. Our sweet heroine is an older and wiser art curator assigned to catalogue the contents of a home filled with priceless antiques as well as a mystery. Greta and Edward, the deceased owners of the home, left letters for their children to find in various places explaining how they met and their own love story. Hunter and Presley are on a wonderful adventure as they try to piece together the clues left behind while slowly letting down their guard and getting to know one another again. Little did they know how the older couple’s history and advice to their children would personally affect them by making them realize what’s most important in life. This is a fabulous slow-burn, second chance love story with lots of twists and turns as these two can’t deny their insane mutual attraction, curiosity, and how easy and natural it feels to be together. They have such different lifestyles and goals, yet have so much in common. I admire Presley for how she handled the breakup with grace and how she didn’t gush over Hunter like a fan-girl and immediately jumping into bed with him. She is naturally guarded as he hurt her so deeply before and knows she'll suffer the same fate if she gives him her heart again as he will soon be off on another adventure. Every time I read a book by Lauren Blakely I learn something new, and this book was filled with so much history and cool facts. I loved learning more about both of their professions and it’s obvious Blakely does her research because it flows effortlessly. Presley and Hunter were in their element and I loved how in awe and humbled he was in her presence, and how he fought to win back her heart. Swoon! Swoon! Swoon! It’s Always Been You was such a fun read that kept me intrigued and hopeful the entire time. I especially loved the epilogue.

It's Always Been You is a fabulous second-chance romance that not will not only make you fall in love right along with the characters but it'll take you on a trip back in time as the main characters set out to solve a fun mystery. Blakely added just the right amount of suspense to keep me turning pages throughout to find out how the story would pan out. Based in the present and using letters from the past, the story flows beautifully as Presley and Hunter discover an epic love story while rediscovering their own from years past. I loved the characters in this story. Presley is strong, smart and driven. And she's real. When faced with an ex that she can't forget....she does exactly as I'd do! Hunter is the ultimate adventurer. He lives for extreme sports and is always searching for his next thrill. He's a successful television star and author and just happens to be Presley's ex. She's his one greatest regret and a chance to work with her to find hidden "treasure" is something he can't refuse. Their relationship is easy, fun and comfortable. Despite being apart for ten years, these two fall back in step quickly and I loved watching them reconnect and rebuild their relationship. Rounding out the story is a class of colorful characters that are eccentric and loveable. They each play an important role in bringing Presley and Hunter back together again unbeknownst to the couple. Blakely ties the story up perfectly with an ending that readers will adore. 4.5 stars

This was a charming and entertaining second chance romance. I enjoy it when couples who are meant to be are reunited. Hunter and Presley are thrown back together after 10 years apart. They embark on this adventure that has them traveling all across the city. And while on this adventure, they rediscover how much they mean to each other and the love they share. It was sweet watching them reconnect together. Hunter and Presley were a captivating couple. They meshed together perfectly and I loved their banter and interactions. I also immensely enjoyed the second part of this story which was the adventure. Discovering the treasured nuggets was amusing and also lovely. I was captivated throughout the story and I couldn't wait to see how it plays out. Lauren always gives a good story and P.S. It's Always Been You was no different. A heartfelt and fun story.

First... this book should be made into a movie pronto. Let me get that out of the way ASAP! I always love books by Lauren, but this one was a bit different in the best of ways. A second chance love story weaves into a suspenseful, adventurous journey that leaves you guessing! I was enthralled and captivated from the start! If you love mysteries that have meaningful clues and brims with endearment then read this tale. I was flummoxed and surprised by the inner story and completely delighted with the love story. Brava!

The Second Time Around

Hunter and Presley are a couple who fell in love and then separated rather abruptly. They get their second chance 10 years later when they end on a hunt of sorts and end up finding much more than they anticipated.

So cleverly written!

This is the kind of love story that gives me good goosebumps because I know that I’ve discovered a book that is everything I look for in a great read. I know I will read it again in a few years and enjoy it just as much as I did the first time around. I loved the second chance romance with older and much wiser characters and the Valentina family legacy that is so cleverly written I never would have figured it out by myself. I have been hoping this author would go in a new direction with her romances and I’m so happy she did! I read an early copy of this book and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.

These two were melting the pages, hoping to make a long distance relationship work, and then Hunter had the chance of a lifetime.
